Councillor Heather Canfer and the winning team in Calne.

The residents of Chilvester Ward in Calne have a new Town Councillor - Liberal Democrat, Heather Canfer.

Heather won the election with 186 votes to the Conservatives 104. There were no other candidates. The turnout was up 6% on previous elections.

"I am delighted by the result and feel proud to represent the community in which I live." said Heather.

"I will do my best as Councillor to work effectively with the local Town and District Councillors. Anybody who needs my help should get in touch with me whether they voted for me or not."
