Simon Meadowcroft and the winning team celebrate another victory in North Wiltshire

The residents of Colerne have a new District Councillor - Liberal Democrat, Simon Meadowcroft.

Simon won the election with 425 votes to the Conservatives 399. There were no other candidates. Simon follows in the footsteps of the much-respected former District Councillor Doreen Darby.

Speaking after the result Simon said "I'm delighted to win and honoured to represent the community I have lived in for 8 years. It was great to see such a high turnout.

Doreen will be a tough act to follow, but I will do my best as Councillor to represent all of Colerne, North Colerne and Thickwood whether they voted for me or not. Anybody who needs my help should get in touch with me".
