The residents of Lyneham, Bradenstoke, Bushton, Clyffe Pypard and Tockenham have a new District Councillor - Liberal Democrat, John Webb.

John won the election from the Conservatives with 654 votes to their 602. John's was the second highest vote recorded for any candidate in the Bradenstoke and Lyneham ward. His vote was 128 more than he got in last August's by-election when he lost by just 1 vote! The record vote still stands to much loved former Lib Dem Councillor and supporter of John, Esme Scrivens.

Speaking after the result John said "I'm delighted to win and honoured to represent a community I have lived in for almost 30 years. It was great that another 200 voted this time bringing the total to over 1250 especially when the weather was terrible on the day.

I will do my best as a Councillor to help all the people of the area whether they voted for me or not. Anybody who needs my help should get in touch with me".
